Default The year ends on a good note for some animals...

I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps the past couple of days I found these on the net - the year is ending on a good note for animals worldwide. Anything resulting in less death is a good thing in my book.

Something to celebrate, the last Indian dancing bear freed!

And first steps to ending bull fighting?

Sorry you're feeling low just now Leanne. Feeling that way myself just now so you're not alone!

That is such great news re the Dancing bears! Wasn't it heartbreaking seeing the poor bear pawing to get the contraption off his nose?!
Oh let's hope the barbaric practice of bull fighting does end!

So many poor animals are given such a hard time at the hands of humans.

Still there are many good people like those in the video working hard to help them.

Thanks for sharing this with us Leanne.

Aw, I hope you both shake the blues. There is so much depressing news about how so many animals are treated in this world. It is always uplifting to read about the successes.

Just seen this. Good news indeed. If they can outlaw bullslaughter in Barcelona, then there is a chance, albeit slight, that it can be outlawed across Spain.

Well done for making this known.

Liz and Leanne, if you are feeling low get a SAD lamp. they are great. My friend recommended one to me, she said she slept better, felt happier, had more life in her etc. i didnt beleive her but i got one from e bay and it certainly helps me. I have it on for one hour at breakfast time while i read the paper. my mother felt the benefit from it too while she was staying with me.
Live for today as tomorrow may never come

    Thanks Fran.

I am prone to depression and anxiety but the dark days don't help so will certainly try a SAD lamp. Glad it helped you.

My pets help me more than anything though as there is never a day goes by that daft Benjy doesn't make me even if I don't want to!
