    Hi Upolian

Really goods photos - very unusual. Like the first one, with the part wall on the left hand side, if gives an impression of very old alongside almost space age.

Did you take them at near Mybster Inn ? I know the Spittal area quite well, as that's where my Dad is from and I still have relatives living there.

Practice and playing, you can't go wrong, just see what you and your camera can do.

Here's a couple in the same vein but different mode of transport:

    Hi Phill

Where abouts did you take these?
You also mentioned they are a different mode of transport, can you enlighten us more ?

I'm no photographer at all, by any means, but I do like this photography forum - just goes to show what us Caithnessians can do with a camera

    Caithness International Airport!

I thought the windsock in the second one would have given it away, also in the first one the light trails are lifting up away from the ground.

You'll soon get the hang of it. Get yersel a tripod, even a cheapy from argos or somewhere will do to get started with.

For these try under and over exposing them, see what sort of results you get. Some cameras will do this for you.

Dont waste your money on a cheap tripod, you get what you pay for and cheap means you'll get something that resembles bambi on ice which defeats the purpose of getting one in the first place. No point getting one that shakes in the wind especially up here.
Every photographer needs a tripod at some time or other so get a decent one,Manfrotto do good ones for around £80.
