As I understand it, a menu displayed at a fast food outlet is considered to be an "invitation to treat", a customer asking for a menu item is making an "offer to contract" which the server may accept or reject.
When the server makes up the order they are performing the contract and the customer is then bound to pay.
Hope this helps.

Well, for what it's worth, this is what I think.
They spotted Fran entering the premises and they are aware of her infamous ability to find things. They were concerned about a possible future thread appearing on the org, by Fran, that she bought a curry from the Spice Tandoori and found a set of keys in it.
In the heat of the moment the manager made up a porky pie excuse to why he could not serve her, but it now seems to have back fired on him.
Those in the know will understand and I am sure my good friend Fran will have a giggle as well.

We phoned for a meal for 2 a couple of weeks ago, it included 1 boiled rice and 1 pilau rice, i asked to change the order to 2 pilau rice and offered to pay any difference, i was told no at first but eventually he agreed, i was then told this was a one off and they wouldnt do it again! I suppose its called a set meal for a reason but he wasnt very nice on the phone, think i will try somewhere else next time.
