    Default Boot manager missing

    Hi all,

Looking for some computer help for my daughter. She has a Samsung note pad pre loaded with Windows 7.
When it is switched on it brings up an error message "Boot Manager Missing"

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP HER - there is no CD slot on the note pad

First check your CD/DVD drive to make sure there's no CD/DVD in there. Next check your USB slots and any memory card slots to make sure nothing is in them. Printers, Keyboards and Mice are okay. Then reboot. If it still doesn't boot then you essentially need to run a repair, either from CD/DVD or through a preinstalled recovery partition. Check here for some details.

When you start booting try pressing the F8 (usually) key.
Hopefully that will get you into a recovery mode.
Then follow prompts. There's also www.sammynetbook.com/forum which could be worth looking at.
