Default NASA set to crash on the moon -- twice

    http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/spa...ash/index.html

I have visions of the moon disappearing in a puff of moondust or it splitting in half, slowly lol. One of these days they are going to get it wrong, crikey they couldna work out inches v cm and lost a $125m mars probe!!

Future headline - NASA dooms mankind by miscalculating moons density.

I'd better go to the pub it might be my last chance for a fill! You think her indoors will buy that excuse?

Our colonial cousins are notorious for the propensity for 'friendly fire' incidents. I just hope their calculations are right and these 'space bombs' don't miss the target and get swung around the moon and like a sling-shot get propelled back to earth. We might find ourselves with an unwelcome lump of scrap metal in our back garden!
