    Cool Thurso Boating pond

    When does this place actually open? Ive been in Thurso many times over last 3 years & never seen it open, Does it?
    Ive always wanted to have a birlie on the wee `safe` boats,so can anyone tell me when is the best time?

    i mind going up there when i was a bairn..great fun so it was...have never seen it open in the 7 years i worked in thurso though???

    Don't know when it opens, but the council recently advertised the job of leisure attendant for the summer season.

    I dont know when its open but its likely to be after Easter. It will be open though.

    its usually opens before the schools close for summer holidays so probably around June time

    hi it opens when the kids brake up for summer hollidays from about 10 o clock till 4 but closes for lunch between 1 and 2 if this helps

    i don't think it is the boats wi the oars anymore, it's yon things wi pedals. No, don't mean bikes, but the boaty things wi pedals. Whatever they are called.

    LOl...I think that's what they're called, I'm not really into extreme sports to know ..lol

    i think it is open b4 the summer holidays because i remember 2 yrs ago we all went down there skiving on the last day - it was really nice and sunny - i remember it well because one of my friends fell in the boating pond - it was SOOOOOO funny! hehe

    It was open at this time two years ago.
    Last year it didn't open until the start of summer holidays, so I'm guessing it will be the same this year.
