Thread: Light Bulbs

    Default Light Bulbs

Just out of interest how many light bulbs do you have in your home?
I have a fairly small 3 bedroom house and have just counted 33 bulbs.

I only have a couple, but surely the more important question is: "How many people does it take to change them?".
I shall be telling this with a sigh, somewhere ages and ages hence. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

In reality it makes no difference how many Bulbs you may have in your house. What really matters is what type they are and just how many you have on at the same time.

All the bulbs I have in the house are low energy bulbs and usually have only one on at a time and that is in the room we are in.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

20 in total, in a three bed house, and that includes all the outside ones too I don't think 5 have ever been turned on!

All low energy, I haven't had a traditional incandescent bulb in the house for over ten years - low energy ones used to cost a fortune!!
The box said, "Requires Windows XP or better"...

    ... so I installed Ubuntu!

I started counting but gave up! I have loads of the tiny little ones in the kitchen and then there were lights under the units in the kitchen and lights in the cooker hood, so must be into 100+ but nearly all of them are low energy ones and we usually only have lights on in the room that we are in. If I was to turn them all on at the same time I think the whole of Thurso would suddenly dim....And my electricity bill would be delivered in an HGV lorry.

13 not counting the lamp that is the only light i have on atm 10 are spot lights the rest low energy bar the one in the lamp which is a red bulb as i love the red glow in the house when it is on. funny enough the lamp is on the other side of the living room but it lights up the room better than the spot lights do!
