As I was going round the harbours of Caithness, the bollards used to moor ships started to catch my eye - different shapes, colours and textures, and I couldnt help start collecting photos of them! I got some strange looks as I laid flat out in the harbour roadways, photographing them! Can anyone else see the attraction, or am I just a sad old git who needs to get out more?
Here's where I think these were taken:
1. ?
2. Scrabster
3. Thurso
4. Sandside
5. Castletown
6. ? (could be Gills)
7. Keiss
8. Lybster
How did I do?
All the world's a stage and we are merely players . . . . .

Yep,you need to get out more John, especially after dark. When its cloud free that is.
Very interesting set and i've not a clue with half of them.
Perhaps i need to get out more.
I must be sad too as I have a similar set of pictures.Do you think we should get together and comiserate?
Mmm, must be something to do with photography and Caithness, not only could I recognise most of the bollards, I almost certainly have photographs of most of them!
So whats your favorite?
Mine is number three. Ohh, just look at it!
