Wow superb!
About the best ever shot I have seen of a heron, well done.
Fantastic photo, the heron(if it's the same one) has been here for at least 3 years & I have never managed to get a close up pic! Well done
Wondeful photo ... thanks
100 views and only 4 comments......terrible!!!!!
Re heron...technically...flipping cracker!
Is that a Sandpiper pic no 2?

The shot of the heron gets my vote for Caithness.org photo of the year. Stunning!
Great photo of the heron Kara, I used to have a fish pond in my garden and I still get a nervous twitch everytime I see a heron.
He helped himself to a breakfast of one of my Israeli silver carp worth over £200.

Absolute stunner,i would send that one into a Bird Watching magazine or something like it.
Gorgeous photo well done

Wonderful photo of the heron. Definately well worth admitting for a photography competition.
Thanks for sharing it and well done.
Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts.
Great shot Kara, well done.
nirofo.
Cracker Kara. How on earth did you get so close? Even with a long lens I've always managed to spook any heron I've tried to get close to.
Just when you think everythings fine, life slaps you in the face.
Fab photo kara, but I would suggest that you could crop the dead thistle from the left side of the image.

You have a real talent. Some of your pictures are worthy of printing and selling. Have you ever entered any competitions? I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your gallery
kara, hope you don't mind - here's a rough edit from me. Any use?
