Fantastic photo, the heron(if it's the same one) has been here for at least 3 years & I have never managed to get a close up pic! Well done

    Default Heron

Great photo of the heron Kara, I used to have a fish pond in my garden and I still get a nervous twitch everytime I see a heron.

He helped himself to a breakfast of one of my Israeli silver carp worth over £200.

Wonderful photo of the heron. Definately well worth admitting for a photography competition.
Thanks for sharing it and well done.

Ah, yes Kara, I think your probably right...there is a hint of red on the top of the legs, and below in the water.

Cracker Kara. How on earth did you get so close? Even with a long lens I've always managed to spook any heron I've tried to get close to.

Fab photo kara, but I would suggest that you could crop the dead thistle from the left side of the image.

You have a real talent. Some of your pictures are worthy of printing and selling. Have you ever entered any competitions? I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your gallery
