    Top or bottom o e tide is called "slack water" Trix.

    Fine pics tho folks. Ah did notice id wis doon is mornin. Interesting to see if they will re-build e stonework, or just concrete it all back up. Wid be a shame to see more concrete patches in e owld wall.

    I reckon all e locals should tap in e dialect til e forums!
    I read the Orkney and Shetland message boards as well, and they are full of local dialect literature. Its great to see how some folk interpret their dialect into writing.

    Sorry for the off topic post, please continue.

    Im glad that the wall is being done "right" after all. Is it a listed "building" if you can call it that?

    It's good to see they have used stone and not just made a concrete wall.

    Once the tide has got in and out a few times you will never know that a repair has been made.
