Any ISP recommendations? No limits or stupid prices. I'm with Supanet.
I migrated quickly and easily to Madasafish, for £11.99 a month (for first six months) you get up to 8mb, free connnection and modem, 5GB download limit. After 6 months it's then £17.99 a month

Oh and I forgot to mention I got a free domain name for joining too!

PlusNet are updating all users' accounts in the order that they registered. Roll on anything approaching 8mb

Not sure about new users but I would imaging they would go straight to the max.

At the moment I am on 2Mbit - was 600 metres short of the 8Mbit... shucks! There is a community in London somewhere where the Govt has set up an experimental system - those lucky sods get 2Gbit - both ways!! I sometimes notice that my speed varies and was about to phone my ISP when I remembered the contention ratio bit... must have been a lot of people on. I can recommend Pipex - they are good, long established and very helpful.

Yoip, i have been upgraded to 8mb. Router says speeds are 8128down, 448 up. Had to order it from BT, and sign a new 12 month contract, but hey, im happy.

That system in london is extended ethernet. Its the way forward. Only problem is that they would need to rip up 30 million miles of phone cables and lay down ethernet. Would cost like hundreds of billions of pounds to do that, so its out of the question on a national scale.

The latest seems to be this. Im 22, will proabably be 122 by the time we see it
