    Default Green Tomatoes

My Tomatoes are refusing to go Red - any ideas why?
Stoopid ruddy Greenhouse veg. None of it has come to anything this year and now my only 3 Tomato plants are keeping their fruit green.

I did put shading up in the greenhouse this year, would that do it? If so I'll let the blighters fry in the sunlight next year.

reduce the water supply to them, or put a banana skin beside them

    Default Green Tomato Chutney

I have not had many ripe fruit off mine either, but Mrs M has made some green tomato chutney, and although it is something we have never bought or made before, it's very nice.

I have mentioned this before, a thunder and lightning storm seems to help ripen tomatoes, but we don't get many of those in these parts.

if you have tomatoes that did not ripen, put them in a paper bag along with a banana, after a few days you will see them turn red and yes it does work lol

My greenhouse ones didn't go red either. Nor did they when put on the window ledge to ripen. And my outdoor ones stil only have flowers on them! Never happened to me before.
