Caithness Moths - Light Emerald
This lovely moth is a delicate pastel green with brown tips to the wings when freshly emerged, but it will lose the depth of colour as it becomes worn and I have seen examples that are almost transparent white. On the wing now until the end of August, it occurs in small numbers in gardens but I have found it to be more common in broadleaved woodland.
