    Default Golden Hills of California

    Some photos from a weekend spent in the wilds of central California about 120 miles south of San Francisco. During this time of year California is in its "dry" period, where there has been no rain for several months and all the grass goes dormant. This can give the hills a rich golden color.

    These photos were taken with the trusty Nikon D40 about 15 minutes before sunset.

    Reminds me of my holiday last year - my brother stays in Danville, CA. Getting quite excited as we are going back again soon!! We went up Mount Diablo one day, what a view!!
