Caithness Moths - Burnished Brass
I find it difficult to get a photograph that does this beautiful moth justice as so much depends on the light playing on the metalic yellow of the wings which shimmers as the angle changes. On the wing now and into July. The larva feeds on nettles - yet another reason for keeping a patch of this useful plant in the corner of the garden!
