    Default Just broke my lens!!

It was in the bag, attached to the camera, which dropped of my shoulder. The focusing ring has been sort of been knocked in a bit on one side and so it is jammed now. The actual glass and the focal legnth are fine.

    Lost of questions:

Someone else has surely done the same thing? Is it easy enough to have reparied? Are lens repairs especially expensive? Im in Aberdeen, anyone know of anywhere that could do it?

    Thanks.

Since this is a photography forum, here are a couple of photos I've taken recently:

AJ Johnstones in Glasgow are the best for repairs. They'll give you a quote if you give them a shout.

Thanks for that John, but it looks like its going to be cheaper just to buy another.

Has anyone sorted it (jammed focusing ring) themselves before?

Try prising the ring clear from the body, that might release it! Nothing to lose anyway?
