    Has anyone got some fool proof ways of making a tasty batter?
    I have tried a few times when i take a craving for battered sausages or fish..but its not as good as i'd like it to be, it just tastes bland.

    I have always foubd that a beer and eggwhite batter is best and very light and crispy.

    Whip up the eggwhite until stiff. Make the batter with seasoned flour and a drop pf light beer. Always best to rest the batter mix in the fridge for 30 minutes. Just before coating fold in the beaten eggwhite

    Add some chilli powder/curry powder or dried herbs to the above recipe for a tasty batter depending on what you are coating!
