Car Air Conditioning - Prices ?

Can anyone here recommend a garage that can top-up my air conditioning at a resonable price.

I got a quote from Dunnets garage but they were £60 odd pounds..

Is there anywhere else, any recommendations...

I'm on the Thurso side but willing to travel though to Wick if needed...

£60 sounds about average for this service (it is down south) - I used an independent aircon engineer for a few years and his price was £50 just for a recharge service, so bearing in mind the location (N.Scotland) I'd say £60 was fairly reasonable...

your aircon loses the power to cool properly, that's how you know it needs attention... The blower should be very cold (almost icy) if it's working efficiently; If not, it probably needs re-gassing (refrigerant re-charge)

As Amowat says above: J & G Sutherland in Halkirk will do this for you. Their mechanics have been on specialist courses and have new licensing to do this safely and efficiently
