Saw tonight and thought was excellent but havent read the book so might have heightened my enjoyment. Rather being annoyed at changes and missing bits.

While they were both good books in there own right the stories had nothing to do with each other, apart from both having the character Robert Langdon. Angels & Demons was actually Dan Brown's first book, The Da Vinci code his second. There were massive amounts missed out in the Da Vinci film so I'm not sure whether to go and see A & D film.

I really enjoyed the Da Vinci Code Film and I am looking forward to seeing the Film Angels and Demons.

I am will be seeing it sometime in the next week

I have not read either of the books and this did not stop my enjoyment of the first film and I hope the same happens for the 2nd film.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

I didn't really like the Da Vinci Code. Having read "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" and "The Messianic Legacy" in the 80s, there was nothing really new in the Da Vinci Code. On top of that, I think Dan Brown is a terrible writer. He tends to pad his books out with a load of bumph, instead of getting to the point, and repeats himself over and over again.

The film was well made, and Hanks did the role well, but I tend to class these religious films in the same vein as Vampires and Werewolves, and at times find them more believable.

I'll probably watch Angels and Demons when it comes on Sky, but wouldn't go out my way to watch it. You never know though, I might be pleasantly surprised this time.

Yeah it is a more solid film than the first one, would not say it is brilliant but definatly enjoyable to watch.

watch the film first and just about finished the book, really enjoyed both, but it makes you wonder about the changes between the film and the book, couldn't believe the changes between the characters
    still really enjoyed it

I read the book ages ago and I said to snarfer that it would make a great film with really good special effects.

The movie was good but did not live up to the standard of the book, I really think that both the books, angels and da vinci need to be read to get the full understanding before watching the films.

I am now on chapter 30 of the new book the lost symbol by Dan Brown.
    Purrrfect !!

Angels & Demons was a good action movie that was ruined by awful dialogue, the dialogue was basically constructed so that stupid Americans would be able to follow the plot.
