Default Dumb incomer sees African bird

I looked up today to watch what I immediately dismissed as a Goliath Heron fly overhead towards Thurso beach and Scrabster.

Then I thought - wrong country, wrong continent. What herons or storks do we have around here? I doubt I saw anything unusual.

Could have been the Grey Heron, they are quite common round these parts.

Obvious! It'll take a while to get my eye back in on the local species...

    Thanks
