PC keeps aking for restart after updates

hey another annoying thing,was notified for windows updates so accetpted them then it asked for a restart so restarted but then it asked for another so tried to do that 1 too but it said windows media sharing is not responding,media sharing is turned on but the media player is not active, this now happens every time i do this restart so until i find the fix i just cancell the restart, i cant do a system restore as this was not turned on until after the problem, any help appreciated

nah no good tried that already it doesnt work with windows xp
