Is it just me, or does this Sephardic ditty sound uncannily like Gaelic folk at points?
Dont think they'll be headlining Glastonbury this year.
A million miles away from it - try this for a more informed reflection on Gaelic Folk, Choral and Group music......

I should have said Celtic rock. The language clearly wasn't Gaelic, and for the most part it was obviously flamenco. There were times that it reminded me of some Clannad and Michael McGoldrick pieces.
It sounded like Capercaillie to me-the band, not the bird, although over-all the birds squawk is the sound I'd rather listen too.

Surely you mean Gaelic folk at POINT, thats as in anRudha just up the road from Steornabhaig.
Bliddy heathens, can't spell and don't know their geography. Tsk Tsk
Quite possibly similar musical backgrounds have led popular world music to have similarities. Everything merges at Womad, that sort of thing.
Now, Yom Kippur may be six months away, but I have to deliver a vidui...
