Default Film 'stars' you find attractive...

In the truest sense of the word...I do not want a list those who might consume you with their beauty, or handsome faces but...does the billing of any particular actor engage your general interest , I use the masculine term because, apparently actresses like to be called 'actors' now dear boy.

I'm not exempting physical attraction of course but none of 'em send me weak at the knee. It might be rather pathetic if they did - there are a few though who entice me to have a closer look at their work...and a shorter list who turn me off completely...like Sigourney Weaver and Hugh Grant.

Percy's favourites include Naomi Watts, Clint Eastwood, Tim Spall, Samuel Jackson,Tommy Lee Jones, Charlize Theron, the Winslet woman , Cate Blanchett and Sally Hawkins. An interesting mix of older men and younger women now I look back at it. I might even add Brad Pitt to the list after being impressed by him recently.I'm sure there are a few I've forgotten.

I try to catch a film that stars any of the following: Michael Caine, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Alan Rickman, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Halle Berry, Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Nic Cage, John Travolta, Tom Hanks and Robert De Niro.

I don't mean to do a dis-service to other actors but generally I find they just seem to be going through the motions. Those named above I find make you believe in the character they are playing. I never decide on a critics view whether to watch a film, I will watch it if stars one of my favourites.

Red Rock West is a road movie with very little mileage. You should check it out. It's good.

I really like watching Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. I think their cafeteria scene together in "Heat" was just electric. Towards the end its almost as if they aren't really acting at all. Would post a link but it has some naughty words in it, in fact the film itself is well worth a look.

Clint Eastwood too, I saw "Gran Torino" recently and really enjoyed it but I think "Unforgiven" was his masterpiece.
