Wick Gala 2009

Does anyone know if there is to be a Wick gala week this year?
After there Funds going missing, i can not see the Local contractors being so helpful with funds this year due to the Credit crunch.

Well according to todays Courier there is an AGM of the Gala Committee in the Assembly Rooms on the 10th March at 7pm.
However, it does say that new members are required to ensure a 2009 Gala

But will local companies be as quick to hand over cash this year i think
not.
One of the major firms that helped out a lot last year have all there staff on Notice.
So i do not think funding will come from them

yes thats true fran,the community always pull together for gala week in past years,recession or not.
