    Default Re: DRUGS

Recently in the news, cannabis is to be reduced to a class “C” status drug. The pro’s and con’s could be debated to their extreme’s, obviously. Is it a threat to society’s social fabric, eg the thin edge of the wedge. Obviously it’s beneficial to certain categories of people such as MS sufferers amongst many others. Should it be legalised?

To quote Frank Zappa (ok JJC ), “a drug is neither moral not immoral; It’s just a compound…The compound itself is not a menace to society until a human-being treats it as if consumption bestowed a temporary license to act like an Asshole!”, (sorry Colin to cause this dilemma regarding the 7 lettered “swearword” ).

We all have a personal responsibility to ourselves and society as a whole, and by taking any drug or substance such as alcohol etc where it changes your personality, especially towards violence or abuse of another human being, then they shouldn’t be using the stuff.

To often we hear of cases in court of excuses such as “I was drunk at the time”, and in one particular case back in the 80’s in Manchester, a judge sentenced a heroin addict to 7 years, who had kicked his 18 month old child to death, whilst high, as if it was a football. The judges remark’s on sentencing him stated “we appreciate, you did not mean to do the child any serious harm”. Which obviously raises questions of our legal system and the way it is implemented…

    Sorry Colin ,

I'll rephrase the word to the Americans way of saying "rear end orrifice".

Which raises the question (amongst others, don't you just hate people who barcket everything?) , and is our automatic censor set too "delicately"? Not to worry , hopefully we will have to be careful not to mis-spell certain words in future (also, check the post AN INTERESTING FACT), and it also makes interesting verbal intercourse (Ooops, sorry ).
