    Default Birds

I know there is a birdwatching subforum, however only a few ever post photos in there, so I thought a bird photo thread would be good in here too, so hopefully all the other photographers on here can post any bird photos they have. Also I can try to learn some tips as birds are the reason I got my camera.

Here are 2 from the Thurso boating pond yesterday. A Mute swan and a Mallard duck.

That looks a bit of a daft place for a moorhen to build a nest, she'll be drifting down the river next high tide!

That one was taken on the River Foss about a mile or so before it enters the Ouse.

Great photos everyone. What a cutie peedie is. cracking shot of the moorhen nest too. Heres a few from the photobucket albumn so I think they might have been posted in previous threads.

Could n't resist this one of a moorhen, it was taken last autumn when the wind was causing the ripples under the trees lining the river.
