Chicken Dhansak
First of all you'll need 1 portion (600ml) of my Curry Base.http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=61980
2/3 chicken breasts
1/4 bag cooked Lentils or (1/2 tin Campbells condensed lentil soup)
1 Large Onion
1 Small tin Pineapple slices or cubes
1 tsp Nigella seeds (optional)
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Garlic Puree
1 Tbsp Tomato Puree
2/3 Chillis (according to taste)
1 tsp Sugar
1 Portion Curry base
Heat 2 tbsp oil.
Add Chilli,Garlic puree,Tomato Puree,Nigella Seeds and Garam Masala and fry for 1 min
Add onions and cook for 5 mins
Add Chicken and fry for further 5 mins until browned.
Add Curry base mix and cover to simmer for 45 mins.
Add lentils and pineapple (including juice)
Sprinkle in sugar.
Stir. Add freshly chopped Coriander just before serving.
