    Default marinade

    anyone know if marinade has to be cooked before you can eat it or can you use it straight frim the jar for different uses other than actual marinade?

    Usually make my own but have a look at the ingredients, that should give you a clue. Of the top of my head I would say that there wouldn't normally be anything in them that couldn't be eaten raw (so to speak) ~assuming you hadn't "contaminated" it with raw meat. Why not just use it as a marinade? They can make a nice change from the norm.

    cos i'm a weirdo i bought it to tone down a cumberland sauce...which i cooked. but i love the flavour of the marinade and put it in toasted sandwiches which was gooood but then i thought maybe....maybe to eat with some crisps....mmmm
