I can see we will have a whole new range of pictures on the photography board now! Sounds good Rich, and maybe it keeps people more focussed on a healthy lifestyle.

I would recommend putting a photo of ourselves at our heaviest so that anytime we saw it, it reminded us why we were trying to lose weight - I saw a photo of myself pre-diet the other night and it was quite shocking - I never actually felt I'd lost anything until I saw the photo.

I guess its whichever works best - the image we are aiming for or the image we want to escape.

If it works, either way is good

OK This is me. No way you're likely to find a full length photo of me, this is as good as it gets! Doesn't really show the mummy tummy, I know but it kinda gives a good idea of the sheer vastness of my bulk. lol.
Oh dear! My neck appears to have been swallowed up by my chest.

Right, I hope i'm not the only one brave enough to do this.

Paris, if you're needing help with a piccie I do have one very good one that I could put on for you.

    Default helping lose weight

    I thought I'd share this....

Getting the measure of your weight problem

Many Canadians find it mathematically challenging to calculate their Body Mass Index (BMI. Now the Heart and Stroke Foundation has made life a lot easier. All it takes is a tape and a measure of waist circumference.
In men a waist circumference of 102 cm (40 inches) or greater places them at a significant increased risk of heart disease and stroke.
In women the measurement is 88 cm (35 inches) or more.
If the tape tells that your waistline is putting you in the danger zone go see your doctor.
It could be a life saving measure….

Listen to Rich on this one. Sometimes he does exaggerate on issues, but he does know what he is talking about here. And it seems to work for him - although, now that I have met his brother I suspect that there are a few genetic factors contributing to his slimness.

So, old pictures up on the frig, red wine in the glass and less food on the plate. Perhaps we can call a reprieve for org get togethers or maybe we should turn them into genuine adherence sessions.

Well, Henry it at least answers the question do I need to lose weight and it also solves the problem many wives have of their husbands being in a state of denial over their obesity. The tale of the tape doesn't lie!

Hi, Porshiepoo - your doctor can work out - not a diet because they tend to fail - but a sensible eating plan that meets your needs. If you get the right advice, and take it, you can lose a pound a week. That's 52 pounds in a year!

Yes, aileenmac - its a very good site for giving calorie contents. You can use it as a food diary, but I choose to just use it for reference.
