Hi,

Can anyone in Latheron help? In 1823 Roderick McLean married Janet Sutherland in Latheron and in 1830 another Janet Sutherland was married in Latheron to George Campbell. Can anyone tell me when these two ladies were born?

Roderick and Janet had a son James in 1824.

George and Janet had a daughter, Janet, in 1831.

Were the 2 Sutherland girls related?

Roughly, from the 1841 census which was rounded down to the nearest 5 years. Janet Sutherland was a very common name though and you'll still have plenty to choose from. Unless you have some evidence otherwise I'd assume they arn't related.
