National poetry day.
I went a walk today to see the fruits and autumn's glorious shades,
In yellow, pink, orange.red and brown the hedgerows they were dressed.
I wandered entranced along the the gold and berried country glades,
Where dragonflies with wings of shiny gossamar the balmy air caressed.
Above the buzzard slowly on a thermal draft was lifter ever higher,
The birdsong bursting from the bush and tree, a simple symphony.
Along the river bank the heron strode ,the gulls of bathing did not tire.
The whole a picture painted of perfect natural poetic harmony.
Well that's my little effort!
