    Question childminder question

I'm looking for a childminder/nanny in the Canisbay/Groats/Gills/Mey/Freswick area for next year, for a one-year-old.

I've looked on the web but can only find ones that are miles away.

Does anyone know whether there is a list of registered childminders held by anyone?

Or do you know of anyone who does this in northeast Caithness?

Any pointers would be much appreciated

    Default the best way

if they are a registered childminder then they will be listed on the care commission site and you can read their inspection report!

the childcare link can sometimes be out of date but the care commision shouldn't be

    Default child care

As over-the -ord says go to the site mentioned - get relevant inspection and comments on how well place is run. Should have it all there and should be up to date, they are the inspectors, graders, fault finders and advisers - they state it as it is, no cover ups.

Thanks folks. That's a good starting point - it's not something anyone would want to take a chance with!
