The method is to use the Save Movie File option on the File menu, and choose My Computer from the first screen, then choose where to save it on the next. On the 3rd screen it gives a 'Show more choices' link - click it and then choose Other Settings and, from the drop down box, choose DV-AVI (PAL) as the format - your file will then save as an AVI in the place you chose.

Once it's saved you should be able to use the DVD authoring software which came with your PC to convert the AVI to DVD format and burn it.

Alternatively you can buy / download a program called WinAVI (about £15 from www.winavi.com) which will do the conversion for you, you can then burn it with the DVD writing software on your PC.
