Thank you Golach, that was beautiful.
We'll certainly remember them.

This poem was written yesterday by a retired Merchant Seaman to commemorate Merchant Navy Day
When i awake on the Morrow
My thoughts will be with them
Of the Ships they fought and died on
Those brave and silent Men
I will sit someplace in silence
And look out far to Sea
And hope and pray that someday
That same place i will be
For the Sea is so inviting
And holds us all in awe
What then can any old Seadog
Possibly want for more
So to all those men and Women
Whom we keep in all our Hearts
Although you are gone forever
In Soul we are never apart.
Lest we forget!
With hope and pride!

Once the original Grumpy Owld Man but alas no more
Thank you Golach, that was beautiful.
We'll certainly remember them.

Lovely sentiment golach - thanks for posting!
Thanks Golach, as an ex-Merchant Seaman myself I enjoyed that. It is a strange thing how great a pull the sea has on those who have worked on it.........I could not bear to live anywhere that was not near the sea.
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here
Beautiful...
a very big thank you for that golach...
The miracle is not to fly in the air,
or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth.
