    Default Today it rained.

Today just for a change it rained again,
It was not gentle drops that lashed the window pane!
It was sheeting down it seemed for hours.
The slugs and snails have chewed the flowers.

If I step onto the lawn even with light tred.
It squelches just like moss in a peat bed.
I know there was a patio outside the door,
Now I have a swimming pool level with the floor.

The sky was kind of black and grey,
The sun took one look and ran away.
On with the wellies and the water proof.
It's cascades from the gutters on the roof.

Looks out puddles for you I am ready,
Holds me golfing umbrella good and steady.
Quick glance all around, splish, splash and splosh.
    What fun,it's raining.I don't give a toss!

We could use more rain here in the desert of Tucson, AZ, USA. However, if we got too much rain I would have to get used to increased humidity and I would not like that. I do remember the rain in Caithness, but it was cooler there and I could handle that much better.

    Thumbs up

Glad you have something good to say about our Caithness weather! It is a lot better than some places; at least we don't have the extremes which cause a lot of hardship......have you ever been back here since you left?

I've been there 3 tiimes. The first two times to the Naval Station at Thurso; the 3rd time with my family when we toured England & Scotland. We stayed with the Frank Sinclairs on Sibmister Road for one week. The family had a great time.
