Doubts.

Did I choose right that day?

A worry keeps crossing my mind,

Every time I see a friend,

A flutter in my heart starts to unwind.

We live in times of great doubt,

Futures all undecided.

We go through life with hope,

To share love undivided.

We all strive for great joy,

It is every man’s aim.

There should never be any problems,

Unless one partner does not play the game.

Yes I call it a game my friend,

A game of life we play.

Like actors playing on a stage,

Until at rest in a box we lay.

Yet, still the game goes on,

As it will in the future and did in the past.

And then new couples will wonder also,

And poise the same question, I have asked.
