The Sound of Horns, O Coats of Red,
The bark of the Hounds, Fury of the led,
Cry of Despair,
Cruel to the Death,
Poor sweet stag, a fight you gave,
You showed your courage, guts of the brave,
Yet many a huntsman there at the kill,
Carry on traditions, cowards without will.
How many huntsmen will make a brave man,
None will face you hand to hand.
Simple Huntsman, easily led,
Protected by, by their coats of red.
Death and destruction in all that they bring,
Sleep like followers, their praise they sing.
So poor sweet stag, your death is totally in vein,
But your courage has put the Huntsman to shame.
