    Looks like a rather bedraggled pheasant to me but I'm sure someone will correct me if not. I hope you gave it a towel!

    Have a look at the beak and claws on the birdie that is no pheasant it is a wet buzzard! perhaps been soaked by rain or had a bath but none the less a buzzard!

    That's what I thought it was, but I'm no expert, so I didn't want to go telling my children the wrong thing.
    I reckon it took an impromptu dip in the loch.... Oops!

    To be honest Torvaig, as we sat in the car laughing at him and trying to get a snap of him. The look on his face was priceless! He'd hop off a few steps and then turn around and glare at us indignantly, toddler style. You know...

    the bird you have in your picture is a rather bedraggled red kite sapphire one of our larger raptors
