I lived in Perth area for many years and they had great success with it. I enjoyed seeing the beuatiful shows. There was a LOT of business sponsership there. Lots of time and effort required and repairing vandal damage.
Are there any communities in Caithness who are involved with Scotland/Britain in Bloom?
And if not, why not?
I was born and brought up in Forres which has, in the past, had great success and increased tourism as a result..............and I spend a fair bit of time in Alness which appears to have overtaken Forres, with the same result.
But both places have accomplished their success as a result of purely community efforts ...........are Caithness towns/villages not inclined to encourage community effort....................or have they tried in the past and had their efforts trashed?
