Default Tuna Pate with Melba Toast

    Tuna Pate
easy starter or Dipping thing when friends round

    Serves 4-6

    2 lge Cans Tuna drained
    4ozs Butter cubed and softened
    4ozs Cream Cheese softened
    Juice of 1 Lemon
    Salt & Pepper

    Flake Tuna with a fork

Beat Butter and Cream Cheese together add a much Lemon juice as you want to taste season well with Salt & Pepper add Tuna cover and store in cold place to allow flavours to develop do not serve straight from fridge as it wont spread

buy or make Melba toast thinly sliced bread bung in preheated oven 180 for5-10mins until golden and crisp

Pile the tuna Pate into a fancy serving bowl and pass around with pile of Toast

to jazz it up you can add grated lemon rind a bit mustard or chopped parsley

if you want to make it for more formal dinner Scoop out Lemon shells and serve in that
