these were taken on the clifftop going round to wick castle and i wondered what they were lol the fluffy one looks like its dressed for the chilly weather we get here sometimes lol bolook like members of the pea family of plants but other than that i would be guessing.

yeah think your right about the birdsfoot trefoil lizz the flower head on the fluffy one is about 4-8 inches high and they where growing along the top of a cliff hope this helps

The first is the common Bird's-foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)and the second is the Kidney-vetch (Anthyllis vulneraria). The Kidney-vetch is the northern - Scandinavian type Anthyllis vulneraria ssp. lapponica which is the commonest type in Caithness.
