Had this on the PC for a bit now and I can't suss it out.
If I am online, say on the .Org, and I wish to attach a picture to my post. I click 'browse' to select a location to upload the piccy from.
As soon as I do this, the browser shuts down completely. This also happens if i click to download content off the web or attempt to open or save any files off the internet.
I cannot open any files or attachments that are sent to me at all.....
Any ideas?
Running XP.
let's try this......
OK, it appears the problem is with the BT Yahoo browser. I've loaded this up using IE with no problems. I'm going to try and down load a couple of .pdf's - if it'll do that as well it is definitely a problem with the browser.

Bingo!
BT browser is pants. No problems when using IE!
It's also made me realise just how slow to load the BT browser is......
Cheers for pointing me in the right direction, Blueivy.
Hope you had fun with BT, Northener. They were recently given the ability to take over your computer and don't they just love it ! Of course they have to ask your permission but having spent nearly an hour watching my cursor crawl around the screen while the person in India obviously had no idea what to do, I won't be doing that again in a hurry. I finally got passed to someone higher up who insisted on changing IE7 back to its original settings as he said that would solve the problem - it didn't and I then had to restore all my own settings. My problem, incidentally, was with Yahoo Mail which I use occasionally.
The BT helpdesk people don't seem to know much about BT Yahoo. Also if they can make a simple question complicated, they will. Maybe they're paid by the time they spend on the phone. They're terribly nice and polite but it's so frustrating.
I decided I didn't like the BT Yahoo browser when I first went to BT and uninstalled it. Prefer IE7.
