I received excellent emergency treatment recently at the Bridges in Wick from Mr Erridge. Was with a group who were all there for extractions and expected to be told that was all he could do for me, but he managed to clean the tooth and put on a temporary filling which was replaced last week by my NHS dentist in Edinburgh and will become a crown in September to coincide with other business there then.
Have been seven years on the NHS list in Caithness and seem to be going backwards not forwards as families with children (quite rightly so) go to the head of the queue.
Over the years we have put aside the money it would have cost to be just on the private list at Bridgend and it has covered our trips to the dentist down south. As long as we attend once every 13 months we can remain on his list until a vacancy comes up here.
