found this down near the tern nests in birds section of forum growing almost over the edge the sea wall, its a suculent or semi succulent by the looks of the leaves and it was very compact and very 'prone' like most of the plants here

If its profound what was the name of the golfer and what did he find?
Hi Count,
It's a Sea Spurrey. It could be the Lesser Sea Spurrey or the Greater Sea Spurrey. The Greater has a membranous wing around its seed and the Lesser does not. The seeds will probably not be ripe yet so I will guess that it is the Greater (Spergularia media) because the flower colour is pale pinky-blue and the calyx (the green bits of the flower) are not longer than the pink bits.
thanx for that taraxacum i was looking somewhere else completely different lol i think i was in the saxifrages so completely wrong lol i shall have to do a botany course and see if that helps
