i know absolutely bog all about them, but would like to know how it would handle the caithness winds lol

used to have access to a very similar vehicle when i lived in london, was fun and good in the city but by crickey i wouldnt want one up here you would forever be getting out and turning it up the right way again!!

Not sure about in Edinburgh, badger - I don't think it would cope too well with the hills -too hard to get up them and going down I can see it tipping over and ending up under the wheels of a bus...or being blown away into the Forth....

I never thought I'd possibly see a badger on a tricycle when I moved to Caithness.
I'll avoid Bower from now on......

This is such a great idea, for urban areas! Let's all think out of the box and see if we could adapt it for Caithness.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest a long wheel-base Landrover, with a mini wind-turbine on the roof to power the DC-adapted electrics, and a hole cut in the floor to accomodate Fred Flintstone-type pedals.

And why a long wheel base? Obviously, so you can carry a tuk tuk in the back, and bring it out on those three or four suitable Caithness summer days, and really impress your friends.

Any other suggestions for adapting the tuk tuk for Caithness?

Well - actually ..... I was thinking of a trike then saw this and thought, hmm maybe that looks more interesting. Wouldn't the wind blow right through it? Did look at that link, thanks, but it's not very helpful as far as buying goes.

You're right about Edinburgh, Angela. Could be fun in the Festival though.

Talking of Clive Sinclair - always did fancy one of those little C5s. No problem with the wind blowing one of those over although the trip to Wick might take a while and wouldn't carry much shopping.

Maybe the wind turbine idea is best. I'm sure I've seen a car with one. Don't we have any inventors up here?

I think they look good and could even understand why they would represent good value for money MPG wise.
You could fill up in Tesco Wick and blow down to Tesco Inverness without even starting the engine .
