I'm interested in the Shearer name, particularly in the area my gran, (Agnes Shearer) was from, Blantyre, outside Glasgow. She was born in 1902.

I'm looking for descendants of John Shearer and Helen Waters McKay. In the 1881 Census return they have three children, John Shearer, born around 1876, Ellen Shearer, born around 1878 and Frederick D. Shearer born around 1880, all in Thurso. They were living in Traill Street and John, the father was a draper. Any information would be gratefully received.
