    Default It is a Scurvy-grass

    Hi Count

What you have is a scurvy-grass. Its Latin name is Cochlearia scotica. So called because the thick green leaves are rich in vitamin C and sailors suffering from scurvy - caused by vitamin C deficiency - used to munch it in their salads along with the maggoty biscuits and the salt beef. Cochlearia scotica is a northern version of Cochlearia officinalis which might be what is given in your flower book.

    Cheers
