    Default blues cruise

this probably has less relevance in Caithness than almost anywhere else...even here...do you care as little as I ?

The programme has started on ITV but the actual race isn't until 5.15 - and I wouldn't miss it for anything. Been a light blue all my life (family tradition) but not sure about their chances this year with rough water and Oxford crew heavier.

How can you not be interested Percy? Not inverted snobbery I hope? Much more fun than football and only once a year.

I'll tune in perhaps Badger...I'm not interested in the outcome but I did say it was a tradition worth holding on to of course.

'Inverted snobbery' ? No...just common or garden bitterness I expect.

Cambridge lost ! so you can guess who won, by some distance too.
The winning crew had only two Brits in it!

A very slow race...the slowest for 61 years...
    ...blame too many furriners?? ;-p
It was a fairly dull affair if I'm honest, and I usually am.

    Why bitter, Percy?

I didn't find it all dull even though my side lost. I suppose I gave up towards the end but most of it was very exciting. I've seen some that have been a procession with one boat leading all the way and that is disappointing. Could have done without some of the commentators' comments at the end but that seems to happen in any sport, in fact almost any activity including music. I suppose if they're paid to talk they feel they have to but I wish they wouldn't.

Sorry - I should have looked at your link first. At least we're on the same side !

Sorry I asked. Let it go - can't be worth it.

Whatever you say Guv... I'm not like the Murphy's....
chips, shoulders etc...wouldnae be without 'em really.
They drive me forward...a lot faster than Oxford's boat.

But, what's your story Badger...from where do you hail and what do you do
apart from supporting alma mater on 'ere...in a very laid back, indirect way of course.
