Thread: a wee joke

    Default a wee joke

Here is a wee poem that someone has just posted i thought it was a nice little poem so thought i would share it with everyone.

"The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow,
And what will poor robin do then, poor thing?
He'll sit in a barn and keep himself warm
and hide his head under his wing, poor thing."

    heres another

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet
    Eating her curds and whey.
    Along came a spider
    That sat down beside her
And she battered it to death with her spoon .

heres another poem for you Sandie

    Wee Willie Winkie,
    Runs through the town,
    Upstairs and Downstairs,
    In his nightgown.
    Knocking at the windows,
    Prying at the locks.
Are the children in their beds?
    It's past eight O'clock.

Hi Sandie - the poem I quoted in the other thread is an old nursery rhyme - I don't know the author but it certainly wasn't me - lol - it was seemingly written in the 16th Century !! I'm glad you enjoyed it though - no harm done by you quoting it again here

    The wind blew
    The skitter flew
    Over the hill
    and killed a coo
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here
