I had got rather attached to the 'snow plough gritter lorry'.
This is now my desktop:
I loved my truck.
OK, this is still my current desktop wallpaper....
I will change it tonight for a new one even though the weather warrants retaining this one. At least I only have to go to Inverness tomorrow morning and not Aberdeen.

As these got accidentally deleted I'll try again.
At home a ringed plover shot on Dunnet beach last June (ATS65HD/Coolpis995)
and at work a wood sandpiper photographed in the Gambia last November (ATS65HD/CoolpixP5100)
Quite cute though.

I went for something that our friendly seagull 'Roger' would like. Nice colours and shapes. I took this shot in Scrabster harbour last weekend, just landed. Not sure where from though. All part of the local economy.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I must admit to wondering at Microsoft's need to add (in Vista) another on-screen clock and calendar, when there is a perfectly adequate timepiece in the bottom RH corner, and a useable calendar is just a double click away (on the clock if anyone didn't know).
I've seen some useful gadgets on the Vista sidebar - the sticky notes I would use to save me having masses of the real thing littering my desktop, and the news headline RSS feed would also be of interest. However I'd be quite happy turning off the whole sidebar and saving my system resources!
..two weekends ago. I just like the light, and the texture of the beach...it's temporary wallpaper I think.
These are some really good 'Desktops' folks. Keep them coming.
The Sandpiper photo from Gambia is superbe. Any ornathologist would be proud of that - the photo is so clear.

Pretty sure it's actually the output of a 3D package. The site is here if anyone else fancies some cracking images. The ball was from p42 - theres a few other more flowing red & chrome ones there too but I think this one was the best.
I think I must have been brainwashed somehow???? :-))
